PROPOSED AMENDMENTS IN THE CONSTITUTION OF THE
RAM BAGH GOLF CLUB
CLAUSE 3: Members
3(A) The minimum qualifying age for membership of the club - Ordinary and Life Time shall be 21 years.
HONORARY MEMBERS: To be inserted
3(B) Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Justice (all shall be ex-officio members).
3(g) SERVICE MEMBERSHIP:
3(g)(i) Applicant in this category should possess required handicap.
3(g)(ii) Applicant who does not possess required handicap shall be first registered as playing member on yearly basis the fee shall not be less than 1/3 of the service membership fees as decided by the management committee.
3(J) Dependent: To be inserted
i). Dependent membership shall be considered irrespective of the ceiling limit fixed for general membership ie 2000.
ii). Application for the dependant membership shall be considered only if one has applied before the age of 25 yrs, such dependant members shall be issued a green card immediately after crossing the age of 25 years.
iii). Green card holder shall be entitled to use the club facility as a member. However they would not have a voting right and shall not be permitted to bring guests.
iv). Green card holder would attain full membership rights only after he has been called for interview and confirmed by the management committee.
v). The admission fee proposed for the registration of the green card for dependent member shall be : 40% of the prevalent admission fee for the following categories:
(a) For ordinary membership:

Applicant registered in ordinary category shall pay monthly subscription as soon as he becomes entitled for green card.
vi). Priority list of dependents shall be separate and prepared as on 1st Jan of each year on the basis of seniority of the members. Applicants who has attained single handicap shall be given preference.
vii). Not more than 25 members shall be inducted in this category in a year.
viii). List of applicants and the priority shall be published on the notice board at least two week in advance prior to induction.
ix).The procedure for induction of membership shall be same as per clause 3(A), 3(C) AND CLAUSE 4.
CLAUSE 4: Words admission fee appearing after prescribed form together with this be deleted and substituted by enrolment fee.

4(A) Enrollment fee means fees charged at the time of filing of application for membership. Enrolment fee would be decided by the Management Committee and it shall not be more than 2% of the admission fees.
4(B) Admission fee means fees charged when membership of the club has been granted to an applicant.
4(C) A person who has been inducted as member shall deposit the prevalent admission fee within one month of his induction notice.

4(D) Applicant shall submit declaration regarding any criminal case pending against him / her or has been convicted of any offence. In case declaration submitted by the applicant is found to be false even after induction of membership, his / her membership would be terminated for submitting false declaration.
4(E) Not more than 5 per cent of the total strength of the EXISTING membership as on the day new management committee takes over would be inducted in the club during any one term of the management committee.
4(F) HANDICAP: Between Clause 3 & 4
A regular handicap shall be allotted only after following the procedure as under:
(i) An applicant who has applied for handicap shall play Rabit Round as and when organised by the Club.
(ii) After being successful in rabbit round, an applicant shall have to play a round of 9 holes or 18 holes with three member committee for being considered for regular membership. One of them will be a member of the executive committee and other two shall be of single handicap and shall not be part of executive committee.
Explanation: Successful means one has attained handicap of 28 or 36 or below as case may be.
(iii) A person who is not successful in attaining the handicap would again have to play a ROUND OF golf as and when request is made and time fixed by the Management.
RIGHT OF SURRENDER / TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP.

Clause-6(A):RIGHT OF SURRENDER
i). Any member who applies in writing for surrender of his membership would be entitled to refund of 60% of the fee PREVALENT of the category in which he was enrolled as a member of the club provided he had been a member of the club for at least 15 yrs.
Clause 6(B):TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP
A member would also be entitled to transfer his membership in favour of any one of his SON OR DAUGHTER only provided he had been a member of the club for at least 15 years. The fee payable for such transfer shall be 20% of the prevalent fee. There will be no refund of fees in such a case.
Nominated member shall be approved by the management committee after interview and the pre conditions for enrolment as given in Clause-3&4.
A member who has surrendered his membership would cease to be a member of the club.
6(C) To be inserted
(i) Spouse of a deceased member would continue to be allowed to use the CLUB facilities as a spouse member. SUCH MEMBER WILL NOT HAVE A VOTING RIGHT or attend any meeting of the club. Such spouse member will pay monthly subscription in case opts for such membership.
(ii) Sons or daughters of the deceased member would be entitled to apply for membership in dependent category within a year of the member's demise.
(iii) Applicant in this category would be entitled for green card, provided the age of the applicant is below 25 years.
Clause 7: Suspension: To be inserted
Clause-7(A) A member found guilty of manhandling/violence or any criminal offence etc after due enquiry, shall be suspended for a minimum period of six months in the first instance. If he / she repeats the offence and is found guilty for the second time, would be disqualified for being a member of the club.
Cluse-10(A)
A person who has held the post of Captain/Secretary or Treasurer for two terms would not be eligible to contest for any of the said posts in his life time.
Regulation-10
The election of the Management Committee should be held once in two years.
The following words be deleted:-
"or until the New Management Committee takes over charge"
10(i) Fresh elections should be held before the expiry of his term of the committee.
10(ii) If for any reason fresh elections are not held before the expiry of the terms of the committee then on the expiry of the terms the elected committee shall stand dissolved and an Adhoc Committee comprising of three immediately preceding Captains and three immediately preceding Secretaries shall takeover as Adhoc Body. The Adhoc Committee shall announce the election within a week of their taking over. The Adhoc Committee shall not take any policy decision.
Clause 15(A): Voting Right: To be inserted
Members above the age of 21 years would only be eligible to cast their vote in AGM / EGM and would be eligible to contest in election for the post in Executive Committee. |
